FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: small arms bipod comprises a base with ledges, on which two folding supports are hingedly fixed by the axes. On each of the supports the tubular handle is mounted, pressed by a spring in the direction of the hinge joint. On each of the supports there is a helical groove, and on the handle - the screw having an end with the cylindrical part, which enters into the groove. The groove and the screw together form a screw pair.
EFFECT: enhanced ease of performing of operation of folding the bipod supports.
