FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: cartridge includes a two-chamber shell, a propellant charge, a grenade case with a central cavity and a body with steel balls. An open front end face of the grenade is covered with a cover plate. Connection of the shell and the grenade case is non-destructible at firing. The propellant charge is arranged in a high-pressure chamber of the shell. The central cavity of the grenade case is of a through type. The high-pressure chamber of the shell is made in the form of a body with an open front end face and arranged with this face in the central cavity of the grenade in front of its cover plate. The body with steel balls is separated from the propellant charge and fixed with wads. The cylindrical wall of the body is formed with several longitudinal plates made from sheet spring steel. One end of the plate is bent at an angle that is somewhat smaller than 90° from the bending beginning. The plates are provided with a symmetrical constriction towards the end through an angle of at least α=360/n, where n - number of plates in the body. The plates are fixed between two discs forming the bottom of the body and attached to each other.
EFFECT: increasing the maximum distance of effective grenade firing.
