FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of catalytic purification of a hydrogen-containing gas mixture from carbon oxides, by their hydration to methane with passing the mixture through a layer of catalyst granules for the methanation process, which contains nickel and γ-A12O3, in the range of temperatures of 190°C-270°C, is characterised by the fact that purification is carried out in the range of temperatures of 156°C-190°C. The method is realised by the work in the first interval of 156°C-190°C and/or in the second interval of 190°C-270°C of the temperature on a catalyst, which contains nickel in the form of monocrystals NiO with the sample average size, being in the range of 2-3 nanometer, with the concentration of NiO of 12.0-25.0 wt % and γ-Al2O3 - the remaining part. Catalyst granules are applied in the form of balls or cylinders with the diameter and height, which is in the range of 1.5-6 mm.

EFFECT: increase of efficiency and productivity of the process of purification of the hydrogen-containing gas mixture from admixtures of carbon oxides.
