FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to dose-setting mechanisms of drug delivery devices, more specifically to a dose-setting release mechanism (reset) for the drug delivery devices, configured as a pen and providing an unassisted drug administration of from a cartridge with several doses. In the drug delivery device with a release dose-setting release mechanism, the above mechanism comprises a body, a pivoted sleeve pivotally engaged in relation to the above body, a spindle actuator of the drug delivery device and a spindle functionally connected to the above actuator. The actuator has first and second components functionally connected together by a rotational connection of the second component with the first component. When the user rotates the pivoted sleeve and sets a dose, the first component and the second component rotate together. When the user releases the dose-setting mechanism, the first component of the actuator is rotationally detached from the second component of the actuator, and the first component can be rotated back into the initial position.
EFFECT: invention has a small number of the components; it is less difficult-to-assemble and produce, simplifies the stages to be performed by the user to release the dose-setting mechanism; the invention is expected to be less complex and more compact.
