FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves crimping of a workpiece in working rolls, the generatrixes of barrels of which have a form of a convex curved line. Elimination of breaks of steel strips in a mill line is provided due to the fact that rolling is performed with relative crimping of 7-30% in the working rolls, in the sections of the barrels of which facing to the strip edges there are conical bevels. A angle at the base of the cone of bevels is equal to 89.5-87.5 degrees.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of increasing yield ratio and reducing consumption of working rolls.
