FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and particularly to a communication system, using relay mode, that stipulates coordination of interoperation between cells. Relay node (or relay station) contributes to provision of asymmetric connection to mobile station. If there is not enough resources for either direct uplink or downlink between mobile station and base station, then a relay station is used to establish the necessary link to the second base station. The mobile station can still maintain connection with the first base station using direct uplink or downlink, if there is enough resources. In order to contribute to resource distribution, the first and the second base station cooperate in using planning data for mobile station. A relay node lets the mobile station to maintain uplink or downlink to the second base station, being still associated to the first one.

EFFECT: this allows the second base station to act as the first base station replacement, if there are not enough resources to establish a direct uplink or downlink to mobile station.
