SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a display method and device. The result is attained by capturing an image before the surface reflecting the image, which is included into the display device and displays the image, and by the detection of a translating body placed before the surface reflecting the image; the decision is taken in regards to the electric energy saving value for the display device, which includes the electric energy saving value for the surface reflecting the image using an analysis results of a person's face availability or unavailability and a result of the translating body detection at the captured image, the electric energy saving value is obtained and displayed when there is no image at the surface reflecting the image, when data about the electric energy saving value is displayed on the surface reflecting the image. Respectively upon control displaying of the electric energy saving effect, the initial electric energy saving effect may be displayed when control displaying of the electric energy saving effect is unavailable.

EFFECT: expanding the range of technical capabilities for the display device.
