APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING ULTRASONIC SIGNALS THROUGH INSPECTED MEDIUM IN PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01F1/66

Abstract RU 2535651 C2

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for transmitting ultrasonic signals through an inspected medium in a pipeline comprises an ultrasonic signal source, at least N controlled switches connected by their corresponding leads to the output of the ultrasonic signal source through a decoupling circuit, at least M first ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers installed on the pipeline with the inspected medium and connected by their corresponding leads to corresponding second leads of some of the at least N corresponding controlled switches, M second ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers installed on the pipeline with the inspected medium and connected by their corresponding leads to the corresponding second leads of the other of the least N corresponding control switches, an amplifier directly connected by its input to the output of the decoupling circuit, and a control circuit connected by its corresponding outputs to the control inputs of the N controlled switches and to the output of the ultrasonic signal source.

EFFECT: eliminating the effect of dispersion of parameters of electronic components on the process of transmitting ultrasonic signals through electronic circuits of the apparatus and, consequently, improving the accuracy of measuring volume flow rate of the inspected medium in the pipeline.
