ULTRASONIC FLOW METER Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01F1/66

Abstract RU 2600503 C2

FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ultrasonic flow meters, which can be used for measurement of volumetric flow rate of liquids, gases, gas-liquid mixtures and liquids containing undissolved solid particles. Ultrasonic flow meter contains a measuring chamber arranged in the flow of fluid medium, N pairs of input and output sensors mounted on the measuring chamber, exciter, the first switching device connected to the sensors and the exciter and installed between the sensors and exciter for sensors connection to the exciter, the exciter excites in turn each input and output sensor, receiver connected to the first switching device, first switching device installed for connection of each sensor to the receiver, and the second switching device connected with the exciter and receiver. Switching devices are made in the form of switches of T- or L-shaped structure, matching impedance (Z1) is directly connected to the exciter output, matching impedance (Z2) is directly connected to the receiver input, (Z2) is approximately equal to (Z1), resistance of any switch (Rkl) is much less than (Z1, Z2), matching impedance values does not exceed the triple resistance of the sensors according to ratio: Rkl<<<Z1≈Z2<3|Zsensor|, first switching device is made in the form of 2N switches, the number of which is equal to number of sensors and each switch is connected in series with one sensor, all switches connected in series with sensors are included in one point, which is a point of connection of at least two switches of the second switching device, first of which is connected to the exciter output with matching impedance (Z1), and the second - to the receiver input with matching impedance (Z2). Matching impedance (Z1) is connected in series to the exciter output and the first switch of the second switching device.

EFFECT: measuring liquids volume.
