FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: ophthalmic device comprises a contact lens having curved back and front surfaces, an optic zone and a peripheral zone. At least one structural element on the curved back surface in the peripheral zone is based on a system of iterated functions with a random component. A method for making the ophthalmic device involves making a contact lens, drawing at least one structural element and including it into the curved back surface in the peripheral zone of the contact lens. The structural element is based on a fractal geometry; it is produced with using the system of iterated functions, wherein each function in the system has an effect on the set and is used as a compressed image.
EFFECT: improving tear exchange or tear film refreshing between the back portion of the contact lens and the cornea.
