FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact lenses, containing elements permeable for oxygen. Contact lenses are developed with local thinned sections to increase delivery of oxygen to eye. Locally thinned portions are preferably arranged outside the optical zone and thicker peripheral zone.
EFFECT: for contact lens made of special material creation of local thinned sections such as recesses on the rear curved surface of lens provides an effective delivery of oxygen to eye.
