SUBSTANCE: method includes steps of: obtaining a list of object identifiers acceptable for promotion, a list of payment device identifiers associated with promotion; identifying, during a purchasing transaction using a payment device, at least one of purchasing objects; formatting and sending a request to the issuer of said payment device, the request including an identifier associated with a prepaid payment device, an identifier associated with at least one of the objects acceptable for promotion, and price data associated with at least one of the objects acceptable for promotion; receiving a response to the request from said issuer indicating whether prepaid purchase is approved using the prepaid payment device. The system implements said method.
