FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely the to X-ray diagnostics. A method involves two-staged upright enlargement X-ray imaging of the exercising lumbar spine. The first stage involves the X-ray imaging of the lumbar and pelvic complex in a lateral projection. An actual inclination of the sacral bone is measured on the formed X-ray image. The second stage involves the enlargement X-ray of the lumbar spine in an anteroposterior projection. An X-ray source is inclined at an angle matching the inclination of the sacral bone precisely. An X-ray beam is directed in the cranial direction in parallel to the upper endplate of the vertebral body S1 into the centre of an X-ray cartridge. The cartridge is arranged behind the patient so that its surface is perpendicular to the X-ray beam direction.
EFFECT: method provides higher reliability of the X-ray diagnosis by detecting the inclination of the exercising sacral bone, providing visualising the anatomical spinal structures without overlaying on each other that enables obtaining the information on the true state of the spinal and intervertebral space.
