FIELD: test equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing devices for air-tightness and can be used to assess air-tightness of a servo drive housing. Essence: a device (1) of assessment of air-tightness of the housing (3) of a servo drive (4) comprises: the servo drive (4) having an electric motor (11) designed for creating motion of a mechanical component, the means (12) of determining the position of the mechanical component, attached to a connector (15) in a replaceable manner, a mechanical device (13) attached to the connector (16) in a replaceable manner; means (2) of suction of the flow, connected to the servo drive (4) through the hole in the housing (3) closable by a stopper (8); means (6) of prevention of the flow passage between the means (2) of gas suction and the housing (3) in the direction opposite to the direction of suction; means (7) of measuring pressure inside the housing. The method of assessment of air-tightness of the housing (3) of the servo drive (4) comprises the following steps: the step of the pressure reduction inside the housing (3) from the initial to the predetermined pressure; the step of determining changes in the pressure inside the housing (3) depending on the time during a specified time interval, when the pressure inside the housing (3) becomes equal to the predetermined pressure; the step of assessment of air-tightness of the housing (3) of the servo drive (4) in accordance with a certain change in pressure.

EFFECT: simplification and improvement of reliability of air-tightness of the servo drive housing assessment.
