METHODS FOR PROCESSING OIL-CONTAINING WASTES AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC B03B9/06

Abstract RU 2536906 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to processing of oil-containing wastes, including drill mud, oil sludge of different origin and other wastes as well as to equipment for its implementation. The method for processing of oil-containing wastes includes delivery of the oil-containing wastes and chemical agents - surfactants - to a feeding unit where they are heated up to 30-40°C and stirred mechanically, delivery of the generated suspension to a centrifuge where separation to an oil-and-water emulsion and mechanical impurities takes place. The oil-containing wastes in the feeding unit are stirred by a water jet method, filtered and heated up to 60-70°C. Upon separation in the centrifuge the mechanical impurities are sent to the section of centrifuging unit wherein they are stirred by the water jet method with the introduction of surfactants and water, wherefrom the mechanical impurities are sent to a storage tower, then to a desilter and are discharged to a container through the drying screen shakers. Upon separation in the centrifuge the oil-and-water emulsion with introduced deemulsifiers is delivered to a settling tank in a gravity-dynamic separator wherein separation takes place into water and oil fractions. The oil fraction is delivered to one separator section while the water fraction is delivered to the other separator section wherefrom it is fed to the feeding unit to prepare the next batch of wastes. The method is implemented at the installation, which comprises the mechanical stirrer, a heated make-up unit, the storage tower, pump units, thesettling tank, the processing unit that includes the desilter and the drying screen shakers, the centrifuging unit with the centrifuge that consists of two sections and the separator consisting of two sections and the gravity-dynamic separator. The feeding unit comprises a filtering device made as a bunker of a wire screen.

EFFECT: improving the quality of obtained products, reducing load to the environment, reducing energy consumption for processing of oil-containing wastes and improving mobility of equipment.
