SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an input device. A touch-sensitive computer mouse for a computing device comprises: a curved housing, a touch sensor comprising a substrate on which a plurality of sensor elements are formed, wherein the sensor elements are assembled into a set of rows and a set of columns, wherein the touch sensor is located on the outer surface of the curved housing of the mouse, and a controller configured to: in response to a touch on the outer surface of the curved housing of the mouse, detect the location of the touch based on measurements of the capacitance from each row in the set of rows to each column in the set of columns, while the touch location remains unchanged, detect the touch location based on measurements of capacitance from each row to the earth in the set of rows and from each column to the earth in the set of columns, and in response to the change in the touch location detect the touch location based on measurements of capacitance from each row in the set of rows to each column in the set of columns.
EFFECT: easy data input using a computer mouse.
