FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in inorganic chemistry. To obtain hydrogen fluoride the interaction of gaseous and volatile fluorides with oxygen-containing and hydrogen-containing substances in a mode of combustion at a temperature of 1000-4000°C is carried out. As the oxygen-containing substances-oxidisers oxygen, air, and nitrous oxide are used. As the hydrogen-containing substances-fuel hydrogen, gaseous hydrocarbons methane, ethane, propane, butane, ammonia or their mixtures are used. The fuel and oxidiser are supplied per 1 mole of fluoride in an amount of 1-5 moles of hydrogen and 0.05-4 moles of oxygen.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain hydrogen fluoride from a wide range of initial fluorides with the minimal quantity of water, formed in the process, utilise wastes of fluorides, in case of processing solid volatile fluorides to obtain finely disperse powders of oxides of respective elements.
