FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry and can be applied in obtaining hydrogen from hydrocarbons. The method of obtaining hydrogen by the technology of the double-stage oxidation of a hydrocarbon raw material includes the first stage - partial oxidation of hydrocarbons with the shortage of an oxidant, at which mixing of the raw material with oxygen and its burning in a burning chamber of a flow cooled high-temperature reactor at a high temperature (to 3000°C) and at a high rate with obtaining a steam-gas mixture, containing hydrogen, mono- and dioxide of carbon, water and side products of the combustion reaction, take place; after which the obtained mixture is moistened and simultaneously cooled to a temperature from 300 to 700°C by the injection and spraying of water into the gas flow, and purification of the mixture by its passing through filters; and the second stage - steam catalytic oxidation of carbon monoxide, at which the conversion of carbon monoxide is carried out successively in two steps in respective convertors: the first, intended for the medium-temperature conversion of carbon monoxide at temperatures of 300-700°C on a respective medium-temperature catalyst, with the following additional moistening, and then in the second one, intended for the low-temperature steam conversion of carbon monoxide at temperatures from 200 to 300°C on a respective low-temperature catalyst.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain an increased output of hydrogen per a unit of the hydrocarbon raw material with the higher chemical homogeneity of the obtained hydrogen-containing gas and lower energy consumption for the process, as well as with reduced external dimensions of technological equipment in comparison with traditional methods of hydrogen obtaining.
