FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to borehole monitoring with the use of distributed system of acoustic probing, formation hydrofrac at construction of operation oil and gas wells. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. Optical fibre arranged along borehole path is interrogated to make the distributed acoustic pickup. Data from multiple fibre lengthwise sections are collected to be processed for indication of at least one characteristic of formation hydrofrac. Note here that at least one indication of at least one said characteristic comprises the indication of at least one of: a) level of intensity, b) frequency and c) scatter of acoustic disturbances in fibre probing section nearby the fracture. Note also that said indication is used for indication of proppant flow and fluid flow in fracture.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability.
