FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: wind-powered engine design differs by the fact that it is equipped with a mechanism of screen rotation, making it possible to forcedly rotate it around its axis and fully or partially close the wind-powered engine rotor from wind flow and other atmospheric effects. Availability of the screen rotation mechanism makes it possible to rotate the screen in two modes: regardless of the tail position and jointly with it. Besides, the screen is equipped with a confusor with a compensator and a diffuser helping to increase speed of wind flow that rotates the wind-powered engine rotor. The screen is equipped by bearings and may rotate around the rotor shaft. Besides, the wind-powered engine is equipped with a mechanism of mast folding, a crosspiece and a tail mechanically (via gears) connected to the screen. The tail is installed on bearings on the rotor shaft.

EFFECT: possibility to adjust speed of wind-powered engine rotor rotation and protect it against ice and snow build-up.
