FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: light-emitting diode (LED) lamp includes a housing (1 and 2), an envelope (7), a flexible printed-circuit board (4) with LEDs, a power supply (3) and a base (6). The housing is made of a heat-conducting material and has a channel formed by protrusions (9) of the housing, wherein the flexible printed-circuit board with LEDs is attached at the bottom of the channel. All the space between the envelope, housing and the printed-circuit board with LEDs is filled with a transparent material (8) having higher heat conductivity than air.
EFFECT: making a LED lamp with a simple design, having smaller dimensions, improved heat removal and reduced light losses in the envelope.
