FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for production of bimetallic pipes by welding of steels and alloys. Female element is made with ID smaller than OD of male element with solder applied on its surface but larger than OD of male element without solder. Solder is applied on male element OD. Coaxial assembly of elements is performed by axial displacement of male element relative to generatrix of female element. Before coaxial assembly of elements female element is heated to soldering temperature while at coaxial assembly of elements they are soldered simultaneously and cooled thereafter.
EFFECT: higher quality of the weld, lower labour input.
