FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of urea conversion into melamine in liquid phase under high pressure, in the process of realisation of which melted urea is supplied into liquid melamine melt in first zone (S1) of reaction, where mechanical mixing of melamine melt and supply (Q1) of heat for supporting endothermic reaction are continuously provided, after which liquid is passed into second zone (S2) of reaction, in which 10-90°C lower temperature is supported and further mixing is provided. Also described are constructions of installations, intended for said method realisation, including several reactors with mixers, located in form of cascade, or one reactor with several internal chambers, forming said first and second reaction zones.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to minimise content in melamine of urea which has not reacted, effectively use introduced ammonia and obtain target product of high purification degree.
