SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reactor for synthesis of melamine from urea in a non-catalytic process at high pressure, having a vertical reactor housing (1), at least one inlet opening (2) for melt of urea, group of heating elements (3) and central pipe (7), wherein central pipe separates internal reaction area inside pipe and peripheral reaction area (8) around pipe, and group of heating elements (3) is located in internal reaction area inside central pipe. Invention also relates to a method for synthesis of melamine from a urea raw material.
EFFECT: technical result: disclosed is a reactor for synthesis of melamine from urea in a non-catalytic process at high pressure, in which a compact group of heating elements is used, easy-to-manufacture, tubular grate with smaller diameter is used, periodic disassembly operation of heating bundle is simplified.
