FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for optical measurement of distance to the target object. The measuring device comprises a transmitter for emitting the measurement optical radiation in the direction of the target object, the receiver having a recording surface for recording the measurement optical radiation returning from the target object, and a data processing unit. The recording surface comprises a plurality of pixels each of which has at least one photosensitive element and is connected to the data processing unit. The emitter and the receiver are arranged so that the measurement optical radiation, returning from the target object, illuminates several pixels simultaneously. The data processing unit is made with the ability of entering into at least one of the devices of determining the distance of the signals of radiation recording from several pixels, on the basis of which the respective device of determining the distance determines these distances correlating with the distance between the measuring device and the target object. Also, the data processing unit is made with the ability to determine the distance between the measuring device and the target object based on the analysis of the distance data, obtained by a plurality of devices of determining the distance.

EFFECT: increase in the dynamic range when measuring small distances, optimisation of the ratio "signal-noise" when measuring long distances.
