FIELD: rail vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to auxiliary railway equipment. System comprises chamber (1), computing device-correlator (2), device (4) for synchronization and reading, range finder (3) and server (6). Proposed method comprises the following stages: the synchronization and reading device (4) generates signals for synchronizing the frame rate of camera (1) with the measurement frequency of range finder (3). Synchronization signals are transmitted to stereo camera (1) and range finder (3). Using camera (1) forming a frame-by-frame image of the load profile and transmitting it to computing device-correlator (2). Maps of displacement of image points on adjacent frames are calculated as displacement of car and image frames and displacement maps are transmitted to server (6). With the help of range finder (3), displacement of car is measured and transmitted to server (6). Using server (6), determining the surface profile of the load. Distance from the plane of stereo camera lenses (1) to the current point on the surface of the load is calculated as the car moves for each image frame and its corresponding car position.

EFFECT: possibility of using only one camera as optoelectronic sensor and three-dimensional scanner.
