EFFECT: ski poles are designed with the ability to change different lengths depending on the height of the user and the mode of movement, to mitigate the shock loads from the hard interaction of the poles with the ground by damping or be rigid, to adjust the poles to the desired deformation, the track the height and rigidity of the pole through the adjusting means, to adjust the centre of gravity of the pole.
