FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator comprises a rotor rotating around the rotation axis, the rotor includes a separation chamber with an inlet for liquid mixture containing solid particles, at least one outlet for the liquid separated from the liquid mixture, and an outlet for the separated solid particles, as well as a screw conveyor installed to rotate inside the rotor around the rotation axis with the speed different from the rotor speed. The screw conveyor is fitted by at least one screw turn to move the separated solid particles in the rotor to the outlet for solid particles and out of it. The screw turn is equipped by wear-resistant elements set along its edge. The wear-resistant elements are distanced from each other with the intervals between the mutually adjacent wear-resistant elements. A support device for a screw conveyor comprises a holding element attached to the rotor and set in the central part of the outlet for solid particles. The holding element and the end of the screw conveyor can interact so that with the possibility of rotation the holding element receives and supports the screw conveyor end to provide for a gap between the wear-resistant elements on the screw turn and inner rotor wall.
EFFECT: improved wear protection of a screw conveyor in a centrifugal separator.
