SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to polychromatic decorative welding cord (3). Said cord comprises PVC-based component A and PVC-based component B at the A:B ratio varying from 10:90 to 50:50. Components A and B are related so that component A comprises PVC component with higher melt viscosity and/or higher melting point than PVC of component B. Components A and B feature different colours. Proposed method comprises the steps of mixing of components A and B. Note here that component A is in pellets while component B is in powder dry mix Note also that said process comprises mix extrusion.
