FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement equipment, in particular to gravitation gradiometers. The device comprises a housing, quadrupole load installed inside the housing, the named quadrupole load has a pair of the opposite external sides and a centre of mass between these sides and at least two bending torsion springs. These bending torsion springs are actually journals, connecting the named sides of the named quadrupole load with the housing; the named bending torsion springs together provide an axis of rotation, which passes through the centre of mass of the quadrupole load and through both bending torsion springs. The method includes the selection of a gravitation gradiometer with a pair of quadrupole loads, and fitting of each quadrupole load with, at least, a pair of bending torsion springs. The named quadrupole loads have axes of rotations that are collinear to each other and pass through the centre of mass of each quadrupole load, the named axes comprise a common axis, where the quadrupole load form a pair of the opposite external quadrupole sides. One of the named bending torsion springs is connected to each of the named opposite quadrupole sides one by one. Meanwhile the named bending torsion springs are collinear and connected to each of the named opposite external quadrupole sides with the housing.
