FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysical instruments, namely to gravity gradient meters. Gravity gradient meter has a quadrupole with made in form of a rod and test dumbbells, tracking systems with sensors of displacement and rotation drive with spindle, the quadrupole is composed of central shaft, to which the radial ribbon springs are dumb-bell figure so that between rods dumbbell and shaft there are gaps, at the ends of bell tangentially mounted light supports between attached to different dumbbell cantilevers are left intervals , in which displacement sensors are installed in the form of probes and substrates tunnel microscopes, central shaft quadruple is connected with spindle rotation drive, and between drive and quadrupole there is a metal screen.
EFFECT: high accuracy and noise tolerance of gradient meter.
