SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diffraction gratings for phase-contrast imaging, an assembly of a focal detector and an X-ray system for phase-contrast imaging of an object and a phase-contrast imaging method for analysing an object of interest. The disclosed diffraction grating for X-ray phase-contrast imaging includes a first sub-grating and at least a second sub-grating. Each sub-grating includes a three-dimensional structure with strips and intervals arranged intermittently with spacing. The sub-gratings are arranged in series in the direction of the X-ray beam, with an offset relative to each other perpendicular to the X-ray beam.
EFFECT: enabling distribution of functions between sub-gratings and easy manufacture of the sub-gratings.
