FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of detecting rhodium in water solutions by method of inversion voltammetry by peak of selective electrooxidation of indium from inertmetal compound RhxIny consists in the following: rhodium (III) in solution transferred into chloride complex and voltammetry identification is carried out, with accumulation of rhodium ions on soot electrode in mixed solution in presence of indium (III) ions carried out for 60-120 seconds with the following registration of anode peaks of selective electrooxidation of indium from inertmetal compound RhxIny at speed of potential involution 60-100 mV/s with potentials of electrolysis minus 1.2 W on the background electrolyte 1 M HCl, concentration of rhodium ions is determined by height of anode peak of indium on current-voltage curve in the range of potentials from minus 0.2 to plus 0.1 V relative to saturated silver chloride electrode by method of additions of certified mixtures.
EFFECT: possibility to reduce limit and lower boundary of determinable content of rhodium by method of inversion voltammetry.
