METHOD FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE GRADUATED SURGERY OF VARIOUS FORMS OF GLAUCOMA AND VALVE TUBE DRAINAGE FOR IMPLEMENTING METHOD Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61F9/07

Abstract RU 2540529 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to ophthalmology and can be applicable for the minimally invasive graduated surgery of various forms of glaucoma. A conjunctiva and a Tenon's sheath is incised and separated from a limb to an equator of an eyeball. A sclera is exposed and incised in parallel to the limb at a distance. A canal penetrating into an anterior eye chamber is formed from the incision with a perforating instrument at a depth of ½ to 2/3 thickness of the sclera. A front end of a tube portion of the drainage is inserted into the anterior eye chamber with its skew towards the cornea and projection of not less than 1mm. A back end of the tube portion is fixed with a throw-over suture to the sclera; a back end of a valve portion of the drainage is fixed with one end to the sclera. The valve tube drainage consists of the tube and valve portions; the tube portion is rounded or oval thin-wall smooth, made of slippery or over-slippery elastomers, its end faces are inclined at 45-60 degrees, while the valve portion is put on the back end of the tube portion; it is thick-walled smooth, made of sliding viscous elastomers in the form of a rounded tube an inner diameter of which is equal to an outer diameter of the tube portion; its centre is provided with some slots - one back lateral of the length of 1/4 perimeters for inserting the pusher, and two to eight side longitudinal, which are opened, once exceeding a pre-set threshold of intraocular pressure and provide the direct outflow of intraocular pressure; when intraocular pressure falls below the threshold the slots close and blocks the fluid reflux; an elastomer discal plug provided with a hole for suture fixation to the sclera is tightly inserted into a back end face of the drain portion.

EFFECT: group of inventions provide the prolonged result.
