FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: glass material is treated with molten sodium nitrate at 350-500°C and isothermally held for 2-192 hours. The glass is then cooled, washed in distilled water and dried at 50-70°C for 2-3 hours.
EFFECT: obtaining porous glass with pore size ranging from 10 nm to 4 mcm.
