FIELD: glass production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for the production of porous glass, it can be used for the production of filter tubes with a controlled pore size, which can be used in industrial installations using the principle of filtration in the form of tubular systems. The method for producing porous glass includes the treatment of the initial alkaline-borosilicate glass or products made from it at an elevated temperature with a leaching agent in an autoclave. A steam-water mixture is used as a leaching agent. The product from the initial glass is subjected to isothermal exposure in an autoclave partially filled with distilled water for 1-7 days at a temperature of 250-300°C under saturated steam pressure, followed by cooling.
EFFECT: invention allows creating easier-to-perform method for producing porous glass with specified properties.
