INTERACTIVE ITERATIVE CLOSEST POINT ALGORITHM FOR ORGAN SEGMENTATION Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/55 G06T7/00

Abstract RU 2540829 C2

FIELD: physics, computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organ segmentation. The method comprises steps of: selecting (210), by a user, a surface model of an organ; selecting (220), by the user, a plurality of points on the surface of an image of the organ; and transforming (230-290) the surface model into a plurality points on the image in order to change the outline of the surface model for more accurate conformity to the outline of the organ, wherein the transformation includes a step of interpolating the plurality of points to determine intermediate points between the selected plurality of points on the image of the organ, and wherein the interpolation includes a step of determining corresponding intermediate points on the surface model.

EFFECT: high accuracy of organ segmentation.
