FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: arterial aneurysm is simulated by re-modelling a vascular wall. What is used is a human placenta free from an amniotic sac with cutting a cord, catheterising vessels and washing. A balloon catheter is inserted into the artery and delivered endovascularly in the distal direction from a bifurcation. The catheter balloon is expanded and kept in this state for at least 6 hours. For the time, the placenta is immersed into normal saline at temperature +4+10°C; thereafter the balloon is removed. Intravenous dispensers are connected to the arteries and vein; coloured normal saline are continuously infused through the above dispensers.
EFFECT: method enables producing the anatomically similar models of aneurisms with increasing their number as 5-10 times as much per one object.
