FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: projector includes a lamp (41) of a light source, an illumination control unit (74) which is configured to power the lamp in order to turn on the lamp of the light source, a cooling unit (6) which is configured to transmit a fluid coolant in order to cool the lamp of the light source and an activation control unit (763). The activation control unit (763) is configured to control operation of the cooling unit in a predefined period from the turning on the lamp of the light source. The activation control unit controls at least one of the duration of said predefined period and the limited intensity of flow of the fluid coolant per unit time, transmitted from the cooling unit during said predefined period, based on operating history of the lamp of the light source.
EFFECT: preventing accumulation of dimness.
