SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment. Pulse power units, made in correspondence with the claimed technology, excite flash-lamps of a device for treatment of dermatological diseases in such a way as to irradiate succession of relatively weak light pulses, which are superposed with specified places on time diagram of the alternating current circuit source. The said power units not only provide the possibility, in total, of sufficient light energy to therapeutically heat target chromofores in the skin area without causing an undesirable damage to a surrounding tissue, but also provides an additional advantage, consisting in the fact that, in fact, it is not necessary to take corresponding electric energy from a chargeable condenser. The power unit additionally introduces corrections for the reduction of operating characteristics of the flash-lamps for the period of their exploitation by the modification of their operation on the basis of preliminarily specified values, which represent characteristics of ageing/ effectiveness of the flash-lamps. The flash-lamps and corresponding storable values are preferably inbuilt into a replaceable cartridge, which facilitates servicing the device for the treatment of dermatological diseases for the user.
