FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: electrolytic copper production method involves electrolytic anodic dissolution of copper-containing raw material in a sulphuric-acid copper-containing electrolyte with copper deposition on a cathode. The electrolyte is pre-degassed. Hydrogen formed as a result of the electrolysis process is evacuated. Copper-containing raw material loaded to a cassette is subject during electrolytic dilution from time to time to a short-time ultrasonic action during 5 seconds with power density of 2-4 W/cm3.
EFFECT: accelerating a process, reducing specific consumption of electric power and improving quality of the finished product due to mechanical activation and cleaning of copper-containing raw material.
