STYROL-BUTADIENE RUBBER, CHARACTERISED BY NEW STYRENE INCLUSION Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C08F236/10 C08F236/06 C08L25/10

Abstract RU 2541476 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to improved styrene-butadiene rubber. Described is composition for obtaining product, which contains solution styrene-butadiene rubber, where styrene-butadiene rubber before any vulcanisation is characterised by the following criteria: (a) two and more parts in one polymer chain, uncompatible with each other; (b) two and more temperatures of vitrification of rubber parts (a), which differ, at least, by 6°C; (c) two and more values of parameter of solubility of δ rubber parts (a), which differ, at least, by more than approximately 0.65 (J/cm3)0.5; (d) two and more rubber parts, which differ by level of styrene content, by, at least, approximately 20 wt % in terms of the total weight of each part; where styrene-butadiene rubber contains, at least, part, which is compatible with second rubber, and part, which is incompatible with said second rubber, where, at least, part of styrene-butadiene rubber is subjected to functionalisation on the ends of chains; where part of styrene-butadiene rubber, subjected to functionalisation on the ends of chains, is characterised by lower level of styrene content than part of styrene-butadiene rubber, which is not subjected to functinalisation of the ends of chains; and where styrene-butadiene rubber is subjected to reaction of combination to a degree, approaching 40 wt % in terms of the total rubber weight. Also described is composition for obtaining product, containing said styrene-butadiene rubber and, at least, one other rubber, where: (1) absolute value of difference between parameter of solubility δ (rubber) and parameter of solubility δ (solution styrene-butadiene rubber) of, at least, one part of said styrene-butadiene rubber is smaller than approximately 0.65(J/cm3)0.5; and (2) absolute value of difference between parameter of solubility δ (rubber) and parameter of solubility δ (solution styrene-butadiene rubber) of, at least, one part of said styrene-butadiene rubber is larger than approximately 0.65(J/cm3)0.5.

EFFECT: obtaining improved formations of compositions of solution styrene-butadiene rubber, characterised by improved balance of characteristics such as rolling resistance, wearing, adhesion to road, tear strength limit.
