SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a styrene-butadiene rubber based on a solution with high content of styrene and vinyl links. Described is a polymer, containing 15–35 wt% styrene block with more than 6 consecutive styrene units, 25–80 wt% vinyl of total amount of polymerised 1,3-diene, 35–75 wt% styrene from total weight of polymer. Molecular weight distribution is equal to or less than 1.5. Described also is a method for polymerisation of polymer in presence of n-butyl-lithium, potassium-3,7-dimethyl-3-octylate and organic ester compound of formula R1-O-CH2-CH(R3)-O-R2, such as 2-(2-ethoxyethoxy)-2-methylpropane. Also described is a composition for a tyre or shoe component and a product.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a polymer with a narrow molecular weight distribution.
