FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: biconical antenna has, between two external vertices facing each other, hollow metal cones, the base of each of which is connected to metal shell rings and the truncated vertex is connected to a metal bushing, a metal reflector in the form of two coaxial hollow metal cones, the bases of which face each other and are connected to each other, and the truncated vertices are connected to each other by a metal bushing whose internal surface interacts with a dielectric (insulating) bushing and is in contact with the external surfaces of the metal bushings of the external hollow metal cones, through the cavity of one of which a feed coaxial line passes, which interacts through the inner conductor with the metal bushing of one cone, and through the outer conductor with the metal bushing of another external hollow metal bushing.
EFFECT: forming a circular beam pattern in the azimuthal plane in a wide frequency range and high gain.
