Abstract RU 2120163 C1

FIELD: microwave engineering. SUBSTANCE: active antenna has two coaxial circular dielectric cavities separated and bounded at ends with conducting disks, and cavity coupling members; each cavity accommodates semiconductor diode placed on its pin and connected to conducting disks and to bias voltage supply. Coupling member is made in the form of holes in disk separating cavities or in the form of conducting pins, or opposing external bevels of cavity surfaces. External surface of cavities may be made in the form of hyperbolic cylinder. External disks may have truncated biconical surface with circular periodic structure contacting ends of cavities. The latter may be made of ferrite. Mixing diode may be used as second diode. EFFECT: provision for generating microwaves, shaping omnidirectional radiation pattern, receiving and converting echo signals by means of single device (active antenna). 9 cl, 8 dwg
