FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refractory industry, namely to refractory material with a low thermal linear expansion coefficient (TLEC) for manufacture of refractory items, for example protective covers of thermal elements, screens and insulating tubes, dispensing items for processing of non-ferrous metals, transport systems and cleaning of exhaust gases of automobiles, high-temperature diaphragms for cleaning of process gases and effective infra-red burners. Charge for obtaining high-temperature material with low TLEC coefficient contains aluminium titanate, andalusite with a quartz impurity, zirconium dioxide at the following component ratio, wt %: 60,0÷75.0 Al2TiO5; 18.7÷29.7 andalusite; 3.3÷5.3 quartz; 3.0÷5.0 ZrO2. High-temperature material contains phases with anisotropic TLEC coefficient - aluminium titanate, mullite, zirconium dioxide, as well as glass phase.
EFFECT: obtaining high-temperature material with low TLEC coefficient, reduced values of shrinkage and porosity of material after annealing, stable values of elasticity modulus, TLEC coefficient.
