FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes preliminary sieving of the feedstock which includes silicon carbide, boron nitride and aluminium, preparing a mixture therefrom, grinding, mechanical activation and drying. Aluminium is taken in the form of an ultrafine powder with mean particle size of 4 mcm, containing 3-10 wt % aluminium nanoparticles with size of 100-300 nm. Mechanical activation is carried out at acceleration of 9-10 g. Vacuum sintering is carried out at 1150-1250°C with residual pressure of 0.05 atm, followed by high-temperature annealing on air for not less than 100 h at 1200-1300°C.

EFFECT: improved non-shrinkage and fire-resistance, maintaining mechanical strength properties in a wide temperature range, longevity and phase stability for any use of the material in said temperature range.
