FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic composite materials reinforced with homogeneously dispersed threadlike silicon carbide crystals and can be used in making heat-loaded assemblies and parts of advanced gas turbine engines operating at temperatures of up to 1,500 °C on air and in fuel combustion products. Ceramic composite material has the following chemical composition, wt%: SiC 25–55; B4C 15–25; whisker SiCw crystals 20–40; AlN is the rest. Ceramic composite material has an operating temperature of 1,500 °C, crack resistance of 7.1–8.0 MPa⋅m1/2, bending strength of 490–520 MPa, hardness of 27–29 GPa, heat resistance by mode 1,500↔20 °C of not less than 100 cycles, heat resistance (change of mass) at temperature 1,500 °C for 500 hours of not more than 0.5 % and low density of 3.04 g/cm3. Method of producing ceramic composite material involves preparation of charge by mixing said initial components in medium of isopropyl alcohol in proportion of charge: isopropyl alcohol 1:5 on magnetic mixer at rate of 900–1,000 rpm and when exposed to ultrasound with frequency of not less than 22 kHz for 4.5–5 hours, charge drying in drying cabinet at temperature 100 °C for 4–6 hours, treatment by spark plasma sintering in combined heating mode with inductor at temperature of 1,700–1,800 °C for 15–20 minutes and pressing pressure of 40–50 MPa.
EFFECT: disclosed is a ceramic composite material.
