FIELD: industry of refractory materials. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of charge from silicon carbide and aluminium nitride powders composed of, wt.-%: silicon carbide, 4.1-18.8; aluminium nitride, 81.2-95.9 by mixing the components, for example, by joint milling, molding ceramic blanks and firing them in oxygen-containing atmosphere until the weight of these blanks stops changing. After cooling, the yield of reaction-baked corundum-mullite ceramic is 125-129%. This ceramic material has a fine-grained structure with rounded grains and can be used as a high-temperature construction material. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 tbl
