FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical water treatment and can be used for purification of drinking water for country cottages, village not connected to water supply lines but located nearby minor exposed water pools. Water is poured in chambers of porous electrodes, anode and cathode chambers being communicated via through hole 9 made at top part of sealed web. Electric current is fed to charge anode and cathode to voltage lower than that of hydrogen and oxygen release. Then, ionistor charge is interrupted to cut off ionic bond between filled chambers of both electrodes by draining a portion of water therefrom. Thereafter, charges accumulated at porous electrodes are discharged to drain water therefrom into different tanks for store of catholyte and anolyte Prior to using, stored water fractions with different pH are mixed. Proposed device comprises housing of ionistor 1, anolyte and catholyte tanks 7 and 8, water level gages 10 for two tanks, switch 11, voltage source 12, electric power accumulator 13, connection hoses, valves, control device 14, voltage converter 16 and current converter 15.
EFFECT: electric power savings.
